Solve this logic problem!
Scrambled Scrabbling

In Womblegrad, the Scrabble Society is holding its championship playoffs. The entire society comprises four keen souls (3 men and one woman) with the surnames (not necessarily in this order) Widor, Bach, Bossi, and Spicer. They are (also not necessarily in this order) president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer, and are playing their hardest - with the help of the dictionary. In their first game, which they played sitting at a square table, they each used one unusual or high-scoring word.

Who used which word and how were they placed in the end?

Email your answer to me at by November 15th, and please remember to include your name and postal address so that we can notify you if you win the draw!
  1. The player who played JINX sat between the president and the person who made the second-highest score.
  2. The player with the lowest score took his turn before last year's champion.
  3. Widor sat on Lee's left, opposite the top-scoring player.
  4. Rob and Frankie, sitting opposite each other, were neither president or vice-president.
  5. The player who used all seven letters with WAITERS made a higher score than the player sitting opposite him.
  6. The treasurer, sitting opposite Bach, had never heard of the word QUETZAL until it was played by the man on her right.
  7. Glen, Bossi, and the person who got the top score, waited 10 minutes for the other person to play KYLIX.
  8. Frankie and the treasurer questioned Glen's move.
