If you need an unzipping program, go to winzip's homepage and download a free trial version
To install, simply download, then either right click, and select "Install", and let it do it for you; (Right-clicking also allows you to mute or play the screensaver) or if you prefer, install it manually by moving it to wherever your system stores screensavers, usually Windows>System. Right click on the desktop, select properties, then screensaver tab. The screensaver will be in the popup list that appears. Select it and click ok. To remove, simply delete from the windows>system folder. See also our desktop photos of pipe organs
NEW! (23/10/2004) [download]
This screensaver is a large one, containing 30 slides of organs, from a slightly different perspective. Called Peripatetic Pedals, it includes the sorts of shots that I take, as wife, page-turner, assistant, balancer, key-retriever, travelling companion, with husband Martin, the performer. Concert tours are arduous, yes, but they are enormous fun and I feel privileged to be part of them. One day I might document a tour "Through the eyes of the spouse..." but I doubt it would be of much interest to anyone.
The sound file attached is part of the Renaud Toccata, that features on Martin's Bonbons for Organ.
You can turn it off in the properties of the screensaver (right-click etc) as having it on all the time drives even me mad!
It is a zip file, of about 4.41Mb, so will take a wee while to download. Follow instructions as above to install.
